The Next Skyrim DLC Will Probably Take Place in Morrowind.
As many of you probably know by now, I’m a pretty big Elder Scrolls nerd. So, imagine my surprise when I read that some of the files that were data-mined from the newest Skyrim update contained hints that a return to Morrowind might be on the way.
Here are some of the file-names, along with images of hud icons.

The thread goes on further to speculate that the expansion will be named “Dragonborn”, and that mountable dragons will also be a possibility once the DLC is released.
So how do I feel about all of this? I’m pretty excited, actually. A while ago, when it was speculated that a future Skyrim expansion might take place in Morrowind, I wasn’t too thrilled about the possibility. But the more and more I think about it, the more I like the idea. It will be cool to go back and see how Morrowind has changed since the 3rd Elder Scrolls–even if it’s just to see the updated graphics.
Of course, the main setting of this expansion will probably be Solstheim, which is where the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind took place (which is probably my favorite Elder Scrolls expansion of all time). Hopefully we’ll be able to venture out into the mainland as well, but either way, I think this DLC will be better than Dawnguard.
Mass Effect 3: Leviathan also has a Release Date.
Leviathan, the new upcoming DLC for Mass Effect 3, will be released on August 28th for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. But for some random reason, European PS3 players will have to wait until August 29th to download their copy.
We are very pleased to officially announce that the Mass Effect 3 Leviathan single-player DLC will be released on August 28th, 2012 for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. Please note that on Playstation 3 in Europe, it will be available on August 29th. – via BioWare
The new content will only cost $9.99, which seems like a pretty damn good deal considering how much DLC usually runs for nowadays. Hopefully the low price doesn’t signify a lack of content.
Let’s Play SimCity 4!
I don’t exactly know what it is that has gotten into me, but lately I’ve had the urge to play some SimCity. So yeah, I figured I’d kill 2 birds with 1 stone and make a let’s play out of it, because let’s face it, I’ve been lazy as all hell lately.
*Warning: I might be a little bit more annoying in audio form than I am in text.
Conan O’Brien Takes On Skyrim.
This week in his popular Clueless Gamer Series, Conan O’Brien reviews the newest edition to the Elder Scrolls franchise: Skyrim. This was definitely one of the games I was hoping he would pick, because as some of you guys probably know by now, I’m a huge Elder Scrolls fanboy. Although this may be a few days old by now, and a Skyrim review probably isn’t that necessary at this point, I just had to post it.
Was it just me, or did it seem like Conan really enjoyed himself playing Skyrim? I’m not really sure how he got geared out so fast though. Did they use console commands on the Xbox somehow? Did they really just play it that long? Either way, what games do you guys still want to see him review? I’m still hoping for Portal 2.
Site News/Update
Update: Turns out that the apartment that was rented for this vacation didn’t have internet. Not only that, but in my drunken stupor, I ended up giving my phone a bath in the ocean on the first night. So yeah, I apologize for the lack of updates this last week. I’m back now though (god, help us all), so hopefully things will be back on track.
Hey everyone, just wanted to quickly let you guys know what’s happening on my end of things for the next week or so.
It turns out that I’ll be on vacation until next Saturday (August 4th). So, what does that mean? Good question; I’m not really sure to be honest. Updates might be a little slower than normal, or since I don’t have to worry about work, they might be faster. They might even stay the same. What I do know is that I don’t currently own a laptop, and all I have access to is this stupid tablet thing that I’m borrowing. So in all likelihood, the quality of the images that I use for stories might suffer. Other than that though, I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Either way, I just wanted to say that if things seem a little off this upcoming week, it’s because I’m on vacation.
While we’re here, I just wanted to give a quick thanks to everyone who’s been visiting the site. We’ve only been up a couple months now, but I’m really shocked by all of the comments, subscriptions, emails, views, etc. that we’ve had already. It may not seem like much, but I’m really humbled that some people enjoy visiting the site and reading some of the stuff that I’ve wrote. I really appreciate it guys and gals.
So yeah, we’ve talked about the past and present, now let’s quickly talk about the future. When I get back, I’m planning on putting a lot more love into the youtube channel. I want to get a few Let’s Plays going for sure, and go in a whole different direction in that area. I also want to get a few more reviews going, but it’s a little harder in the Summer when there isn’t much being released. What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Info on Battlefield 3: Aftermath Revealed.
EA has revealed the first details for the upcoming Aftermath DLC package for Battlefield 3. The add-on will include four new, urban themed maps that allow you to use earthquake-damaged terrain and debris to your advantage. It will also include new “heavily modified” military and civilian vehicles, a brand new game mode, as well as new assignments, achievements, and dog tags.
Set amongst the shattered districts, streets and surrounding villages of a post-earthquake Tehran Battlefield 3™: Aftermath depicts a continuing struggle for supremacy and survival amongst the devastation.
With operational capacity severely compromised the opposing forces must adapt and engage in vertical and horizontal urban combat amongst the dust and rubble with cracks and fissures in the terrain providing unexpected cover and paths to objectives. Additional support comes in the form of heavily modified troop transports and civilian vehicles specially adapted to deliver deadly force to the enemy. – via Battlefield.com
Aftermath will be the fourth of five DLC packs to be released for Battlefield 3. It will hit sometime in December of this year following Armored Kill, which is due in September.

Let’s Play Morrowind – Part 1 – It has Begun!
So lately, I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been wanting to go back and do a Morrowind play-through for nostalgia’s sake, if nothing else. It was one of my favorite games in the early 2000′s, but for some reason, I’ve never gone back and played it like I’ve done with so many of my other favorite titles of the past. Also, I figured since I have this recording equipment sitting around collecting dust, why not use that too? So if anyone wants to join me for some Morrowind, then be sure to check out my Let’s Play series that I’m starting up, and will probably be spending a majority of my time working on.
And no, I will not only be making a few videos for this one. I’m in this one for the long run. You can also check out our YouTube channel here.
